Dr. Kimberly Money

Dr. Kimberly W. Money is an Assistant Professor in School Administration in the Department of Leadership and Education Studies in the Reich College of Education at Appalachian State University.   Prior to joining the faculty at Appalachian, she served as a teacher, principal, and district administrator for twenty years in NC Public Schools.   

She received a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of NC at Greensboro.  She holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction from UNCG, with concentrations in Curriculum Supervision and English as a Second Language.    Her Bachelor of Arts degree is in Music Education and Spanish from Greensboro College.

Her areas of research and research interests include: Teacher and Principal Preparation, Leadership and Practices for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students, Women in Leadership, and Data-Driven Instructional Leadership.   She has taught various courses in Curriculum and Instruction at ASU and currently teaches The Principalship (LSA 5030) and Developing and Managing Resources in Schools (LSA 5400) in the School Administration Program.

When not working, her hobbies include playing the piano, exercising, and spending time with her family.
