Dr. Vachel Miller

Degrees

  • Ed.D., Educational Policy & Leadership, University of Massachusetts Amherst
  • MA, International Education, University of Minnesota

In the doctoral program, I teach courses in research methodologies, globalization, organizational theory and leadership. I'm interested in discourses of globalization in education, the movement toward sustainability, and the shifting interface between the higher education and K-12 education system (including the early college high school initiative). Based on my experience working on a child labor project in East Africa, I'm also working on a book about best practices in child labor initiatives globally. I have 3 young children and serve on the board of directors for Two Rivers Community School, a local charter school.
